A well rounded, traditional camp program
Fine Art & Textiles
Girls enjoy making jewelry with hemp, beading, or making creations with clay. Make a“Memory Book” from scratch, learn tie dye techniques, do a little scrap booking or decorate your woodworking project. We also offer Fine Art classes with different mediums,pottery, sewing and more!
Woodworking
Campers choose from a range of projects to build and finish under the supervision of our talented woodworking teacher. Girls get to work in Forrestel’s state of the art woodworking shop.
Small Animal Care
Dwarf goats, chickens, kittens and rabbits are some of the animals in the Forrestel Small Animal Care Program. Feeding, grooming and handling are all subjects covered.
Archery
Archery Campers choose from a range of targets at varying distances. The archery program introduces beginners to the sport and keeps experienced archers challenged.We play a wide range of team sports and games. Soccer and Ultimate Frisbee are camp favorites. Girls focus on skill development during team games.
Mountain Biking
Our talented sports counselors lead campers on mountain biking adventures among the interesting acres of Forrestel. Kids who participate in this activity will also find that instruction is tailored to their ability level.There are lots of trails to explore here on the farm as well as local rides off the property. Kids will spend some of their time working on technical skills such as negotiating obstacles, riding single track, hopping, or what ever is appropriate for their skill level.
Rocketry
Rocketry Campers design, build, decorate and launch their own ESTES model rocket. Specially trained counselors work with the campers to build individualized rockets that the camper can then take home.
Baking
Campers have the opportunity to try their hand at baking in the charming camp kitchen in the main farm house.Pastries, decorated cupcakes and simple breads are just a few of the recipes they cook and serve to the entire camp for evening snack.
